Each HEP episode has details that control who is involved in care, what data is collected, and how patients engage with their program. This article shows how to edit episode details in both Medbridge Care and Classic. The options you see may vary depending on your organization settings and subscription plan.
Select the instructions for your platform:
Medbridge Care
Open episode details

Open a patient record.

In the Episode details card, select Edit episode.

Make any necessary changes, then select Save
to
confirm
changes.
Treatment and outcomes
- Treatment categories (required): Choose one or more to categorize the episode.

Patient outcome (optional): Select a patient‑reported
outcome
(for example, PROMIS).
Care team, location & discipline
- Care team: Search for and add clinicians who should collaborate on this episode. Start typing a name to find the right person, then select them to add. Remove someone by selecting the X next to their name. This allows multiple team members to access patient communications and easily collaborate with treatment programs.

Location and discipline: Set the clinic site

provider
discipline for accurate reporting.
Engagement & feedback
- Allow patients to message clinicians: Turns on secure messaging between the patient and your team. Ensure that use of this feature aligns with your organization's standards and workflows.

Prompt patient to record pain / difficulty:
Enables
in‑app
feedback when patients complete exercises.
RTM (if available)

Toggle Enable RTM to track remote monitoring
activity
for
billing and oversight. If you don’t see this option or it appears
disabled
and you believe you should have access, check with your administrator.
Classic
Open episode details

Open a patient profile.

From the active episode, select Edit details.

Make any necessary changes, then select Save to confirm changes.
Treatment
- Treatment category: Select the appropriate treatment category for this episode. Each episode can have up to 5 treatment categories

Episode name: Update the episode title as needed.
Care team, location & discipline

Care team: Type the name of a clinician to search and add them to the episode. Added clinicians will appear in the list below; remove someone by selecting the X next to their name. Keeping this list updated ensures the correct people can view, edit, and manage the patient’s program. This allows multiple team members to access patient communications and easily collaborate with treatment programs.

Discipline and location: Choose the treating
discipline
and clinic site.
Engagement & feedback
- Allow this patient to message clinicians enables secure communication. Make sure that use of this feature aligns with your organization's standards and workflows.

- You can select Enable RTM for this episode to begin tracking.
