PACE (Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a CMS program that helps eligible older adults receive comprehensive medical and supportive services so they can continue living safely in the community. This article outlines Medbridge’s recommended online coursework to support PACE-specific orientation, additional compliance training commonly applicable to PACE organizations, and discipline-specific, skills-based competency training.
Recommendations are organized around key topic areas typically included in PACE orientation and annual compliance education, as well as optional areas many organizations incorporate into a comprehensive program (for example, quality and safety, infection prevention, documentation, and workplace safety).
PACE also requires job-specific training based on the role. Some role-based requirements may need to be completed in person depending on organizational and state requirements (for example, hands-on competencies or return demonstrations). To support this need, we also recommend browsing Medbridge's Clinical Procedure Manual library for discipline-specific Skills courses, which can be assigned alongside your internal training and policies.
To assign this content to staff, create a new Knowledge Track and search for the relevant courses below. These can then be automatically assigned to all staff or to a subset of employees at your organization. For more information about building Knowledge Tracks, check out Getting Started With the MedBridge LMS.
Please see MedBridge’s compliance catalog for other relevant courses, including those that address state-specific topics.

Section 3: Skills-Based Training
Medbridge’s Clinical Procedures Manual is a step-by-step, evidence-based resource that supports safe, consistent clinical skills across disciplines. It includes clear instructions, safety notes, and best-practice guidance that can be used as a quick reference and paired with your organization’s hands-on competency validation and return demonstrations. Skills courses are designed to reinforce correct technique and include preceptor checklists that allow for easy tracking and check-offs.
To find and assign training, managers can search the Medbridge Skills library by procedure name (e.g., “vital signs,” “infection control,” “catheter care”), discipline, or setting, then assign the relevant Skills courses to staff based on role expectations and participant needs. Please refer to this list for all procedures included in our clinical Procedure Manual.
Note: The courses provided here are only recommendations. Each organization is responsible for ensuring its own compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and accreditation standards, as well as alignment with the needs of its patient population and staff. Always consult your company’s legal or compliance personnel with any questions or concerns related to this subject matter. These recommendations are not a substitute for legal advice for any individual provider or organization.
