As a preceptor, you can help new hires in your organization onboard faster and more effectively by evaluating their progress using the MedBridge Skill and Competency Manager.
In this video, we’ll review how to submit an evaluation.
Start by logging into your MedBridge account and clicking on the My Clinicians tab. From here, you will see a list of clinicians that you have been assigned to as a preceptor by your administrator. Additionally, you will be able to view information for each clinician in the assignment.
When you’ve found the clinician you’d like to evaluate, click on the name of the skill group to begin your evaluation. On this page, you will see the skill group, the percentage of the group completed, the due date, and more. Each section of the skill group will have the skill category and individual skills below. Click on the name of the skill to view details.
To begin your evaluation, click on the Submit Evaluation button. On the evaluation page, you will see the skill category, the skill name, and the self assessment results. In the status section, you can mark if the skill is completed, reviewed, or if remediation is needed. To submit your evaluation, select which evaluation method was performed, fill out the evaluation note section, and click submit.
Once you have completed the evaluation, you will be brought back to the Skills Checklist page. From here, evaluated skills will show a completed, reviewed, or remediation needed status. You can also click on a skill to view a card with more details about the evaluation. Note that skills that are reviewed or needing remediation can be evaluated multiple times until the clinician is ready to be marked complete.
If you need to upload additional educational resources for your clinicians, you can do so under each individual skill drop down.
If a skill is not applicable or cannot be evaluated at this time, you can mark it as not applicable, allowing the checklist to be completed without an evaluation for the selected skill.
