Video Transcript
In a previous video, we showed you how to help Jim log in to his MedBridge GO account. Now that he’s all set up, he’s ready to access his program from home.
Using MedBridge GO, he can watch exercises and log activity and stay engaged with reminders and gamification features like streaks and achievements.
First, let’s look at how Jim can watch his exercises and log activity so you can answer any questions he might have.
When he first logs in, Jim can tap the GO button to start a playlist of his exercises. He can deselect any exercises he doesn’t want to perform today or reorder exercises to the order that works best for him. Once he presses “start exercise videos,” MedBridge GO will walk him through every set and rep of his exercise program, just as you assigned it to him.
Back on the home screen, Jim can also log activity without watching his exercises. This is a great way for him to continue providing feedback once he’s mastered how to do his exercises.
He can also view the patient education you assigned him by tapping the Program icon and scrolling to the bottom.
Finally, let’s look at how gamification can keep Jim motivated and engaged.
From the home screen, Jim can see at a glance if he has recently completed his exercises. If he taps the activity tab, he can look at achievements and work towards improving his exercise adherence streak.
Reminders can also help keep patients on track with their rehab. To set these up, Jim heads to the settings menu in the upper right corner, and selects Reminders. Here, push notifications can be scheduled for specific times on certain days of the week. Taking a couple minutes to set this up can help Jim remember to complete his exercises and increase program adherence.
While we’ve covered a lot of ground in this video, that just scratches the surface of what a patient can do with MedBridge GO. We encourage you to test out the app by assigning yourself or a colleague a program so you can feel confident answering any patient's questions as they come in.
