MedBridge GO is the ultimate solution for providing your patients with education and motivation to keep them engaged in their care. Without additional support, nearly 70% of patients prescribed home exercise programs don’t perform their exercises correctly.
But with MedBridge GO, patients can watch how to correctly perform their assigned exercises from the convenience of their phone or tablet. The app also provides patients with additional features to improve engagement and adherence, such as reminders to complete their exercises, and playlists that take them through all of their sets and reps.
When you share the program via text message, patients will be prompted to download the app. Once it’s downloaded, patients can click the link in the text to automatically enter their access code. Next, they should type in their name as it is stored in MedBridge. After that, they can create their own username and password, and they have the option to set up facial recognition or fingerprint authentication.
Once logged in, patients can tap the “GO” button to view a playlist of their home exercise program. This will play all exercises that were assigned by their provider. As a patient completes exercises in the app, their activity is logged and automatically updated in the patient chart.
Patients can also log activity by tapping the “log activity” button, where they can mark exercises as skipped. They will also be able to rate them based on pain and difficulty if you have enabled this feature. Additionally, patients have the option to navigate to the Resources tab to watch exercises and education videos one at a time.
To boost adherence, MedBridge GO allows patients to set reminders to complete their exercises. The app will also track the patient’s completions and streaks, adding a fun incentive to help them stay motivated.
Finally, if you have enabled messaging, patients will be able to send you questions by clicking on the messaging tab.
Patients can also access their home program on a web browser using the online patient portal. A link to the portal is included in the email or text message shared with them, and instructions can be added to printed PDFs. Once they’ve clicked on the link, their access code will automatically be pre-populated. Next, they will create an account, making sure to type in their name exactly as it is stored in MedBridge.
From here, patients can watch their education videos and exercises... print their program... and log their activity, marking exercises they skipped and noting pain and difficulty levels.
When a patient logs activity in the online portal, it will automatically get updated in the app, and vice versa, allowing patients to freely switch between platforms.
Similar to the app, if you have enabled messaging, they can click on the message icon next to each exercise to ask you a question.
Whenever a patient sends you a message, you will be notified via email and the next time you log into MedBridge.
Thanks for watching our demonstration on the patient experience in MedBridge GO and the online patient portal.
