Templates improve efficiency and help standardize care by allowing you to create a set of exercises and education that you can customize as needed, and prescribe to any number of patients. On average, providers using MedBridge HEP save 2 minutes per patient.
Building a template can be done the same way you would build an exercise program. Use the search bar or filters to add exercises and patient education to the program. Then, adjust the parameters as you see fit. Once the template is complete, click “Save as Template” at the bottom of the builder. Next, enter a name for your template, noting that patients will not see the name you choose, then click Save.
To view all the templates you’ve created, click “Manage Templates” at the top of the screen, and select My Templates in the dropdown menu. If your organization has sharing turned on, you can toggle the sharing button from grey to blue to share it with your colleagues.
From this screen, you can also edit an existing template. You can sort by template name, who created the template, most recently created, or oldest. Once you find the appropriate template, click the edit button to be taken back to the HEP Builder. From here, you can add additional exercises or patient education... and adjust parameters as needed. When you’re done editing, click save, noting that this will make changes to the original template. Or you can click “Save As New Template” to keep the original template intact.
To assign a template to one of your patients while building an HEP, click the Templates tab at the top of the page. From here, you can view pre-made MedBridge templates, templates that you created, your organization’s templates, or your favorited templates. To find a particular template, start by selecting 'All Templates.' Then search for the name of the template. Click and drag it into the program builder. You can also click the add button, or click the favorite icon to favorite the template.
Once the template is added to your patient’s program, you can adjust parameters, add or remove exercises, and add additional notes. Making these changes will not affect the original template.
Thanks for watching our demonstration on how to use templates.
