Share home programs using the method most convenient to you and your patient with MedBridge HEP. In this video, we’ll review how to share an HEP via text, email, or a printed PDF.
Sharing programs via email and text message makes logging in a breeze for patients, leading to increased adherence and patient satisfaction.
We’ve found that delivering a program via text message leads to the highest rate of patient logins. To get started, click the text message icon. Then, confirm that the patient has consented to receive their program using this method. The text will include a link to the online patient portal. If they click on the link from their phone, they will be given the option to download the MedBridge Go app.
Email is another great way to ensure ease of use for all patients. Start by clicking the email icon. Then confirm that the patient has consented to receive their program using this method. Your patient will receive an email that includes a link to our secure online patient portal, as well as a link to the MedBridge Go app. Once they log onto the patient portal, patients can access the most up-to-date version of their program. They also have the option to print it out.
Letting your patient know that there is an app and an online portal empowers them to log into their program digitally. And inviting them to download the app and log in while still in the clinic leads to the highest download rates. It also allows you to instruct them to enter their name exactly as you have it stored in MedBridge.
You can also print out the patient's exercises and education program. If you would like to customize the way your name is displayed on the patient’s printed PDF, you can start by navigating to Settings, and scrolling down to Display Options. Next, navigate to the HEP program, and click on the print icon. This will generate a customizable PDF that includes images and a brief description of each exercise.
From here, checking the 'login information' box adds a link to the online patient portal, along with instructions on how to download the MedBridge GO app. To modify the layout of the PDF, select your desired size under the “Page Layout” section. Depending on which browser you’re using, you may be able to hover over the PDF and select the print icon. Otherwise, click “Download PDF” to download a copy of the HEP. You can then print the program for your patient to take home with them. When you print or download the PDF, your settings will be saved for the next program you print.
Finally, you can use the document method to easily copy and paste the home exercise program into your EMR.
No matter what delivery method you use, delivering the program automatically saves it in MedBridge. If you are not assigning the program right away, you can save it for later by clicking the save button at the bottom of the page.
Additionally, all of MedBridge’s HEP delivery options are HIPAA-compliant, so you can be sure your patient’s information is protected, regardless of how you choose to distribute it.
Thanks for watching our demonstration on how to share a home program with your patient.
