New in Pathways: Logging Patient Activity via Text and Email
We know that sometimes it can be difficult for patients to log their Pathways activity using the app, which can create barriers to their communication with their provider.
That’s why patients who opt-in to SMS or email outreach can now log their exercise activity directly by responding to a text or email—no log in required. Additionally, patients can choose when to receive reminder notifications based on their preferred time of day and time zone. If a patient is enrolled in multiple pathways, they will receive notifications for all pathways at the same time.
These settings can be updated anytime in the My Profile section of Pathways.

New Clinician Dashboard Outcomes Now Included for Urinary Incontinence Pathways
Last month, we expanded our pelvic health programming with new Urinary Incontinence Pathways—designed to support patients through structured, evidence-based care tailored to symptom severity.
This month, we’re introducing Dashboard Outcomes for Urinary Incontinence Pathways, a new dashboard that displays weekly “Bothersome Scores” to help providers track patient trends, monitor progress, and intervene proactively.
With this update, clinicians will now have greater visibility into patient and pathway trends, enabling them to fine-tune interventions and continuously adapt care strategies for maximum impact. This added transparency empowers care teams to boost program adoption, monitor progress with greater precision, and ultimately achieve stronger clinical outcomes. Learn more here.

Improve Reporting with New Pathways “Service Areas” Data
To better support the diverse types of organizations we serve through Pathways, we have introduced a new Service Areas field. This enhancement is aimed at supporting various organization types, including employer groups and worksite health programs.
Admins can now customize patient-level data by labeling service areas using terms like "employer," "plan," or "account," and assign specific tags to track patient affiliation. This added flexibility enhances patient organization and allows care teams to filter lists, monitor alerts, and generate more targeted, relevant reports.

New Course Series: Discovering the Power of Physical Therapists as Primary Care Providers
Physical therapists are uniquely positioned as experts in not only musculoskeletal diagnosis, but in differential diagnosis and red flag assessment across multiple body systems. In an exciting regulatory change taking effect in May of 2025, the state of Utah became the first state to recognize PTs as primary healthcare providers, including recognizing that insurance policies can include a physical therapist selected as a primary care provider for neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
As PTs’ roles expand into primary care, a deeper clinical tool kit becomes essential. Our new course series helps outpatient clinicians sharpen their differential diagnosis, screening, and referral skills, covering autoimmune, endocrine, cardiovascular, neurologic, and neoplastic symptom presentations. Build confidence in your decision-making and expand your impact in early disease detection and triage with this timely new series!
