It can be challenging for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and neurodevelopmental conditions to express themselves and understand others. These challenges can impact their ability to meaningfully engage in the activities they want to do and need to do everyday.
To help speech language pathologists and occupational therapists better support patients with neurodevelopmental conditions, MedBridge has created dozens of speech and language resources that can be easily shared with parents and caregivers. This content provides modeling examples that clinicians can teach parents and caregivers to carry over important skills being worked on in therapy at home and at school.
Finding Pediatric Speech and Language Resources
MedBridge’s Pediatric Speech and Language resources help parents improve communication with their children by helping children express themselves more effectively. They focus on using play, meal times, and other meaningful activities to promote social interaction and communication skills.

- From the filters on the left side, select Pediatrics. Then, select Speech & Language.
- Available education resources will appear in the center of the screen. You can sort these by most recent, most sent, and more.
- Select the Add Button to add a resource to your program, or drag and drop it into the program builder on the right side.
Creating Pediatric Speech and Language Programs
These resources empower speech language pathologists and occupational therapists to create a wide range of programs for their patients.
For example, a clinician can create and update a program based on the primary skill set being worked on. If you are working on modeling and scaffolding basic first signs with your patient, you can prescribe the video “Essential First Signs” to your patient’s caregiver so that they can refer to the education as much as they need to at home while they’re practicing these signs with their child.
By creating a home program and assigning to their patients, speech language pathologists and occupational therapists can equip their patients and caregivers with education that is patient-first and fits into their real life.
