MedBridge works with instructors and discipline consultants to determine if a course is applicable to each discipline (indicated as "Target Audience" in approvals).
This course is applicable to my discipline, but not approved in my state
Below is a summary of how we apply for courses for each state by discipline.
(Will My Courses be Applied for Renewed Approval?)
Physical Therapy (PT)
Courses are marked as approved based on individual state board requirements such as:
- State Board providership
- Individual Course approval
- Recognition of approval by another state's providership, state APTA chapter, or state board
Some state boards do not have CE approval requirements.
Courses are evaluated for application to approving entities based on:
- User feedback (quality and number of completions)
- Relevancy to discipline (e.g. part of discipline specific certificate programs)
- Regulating body feedback (content may be added or removed as state requirements change)

Occupational Therapy (OT)
MedBridge is an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Approved Provider of continuing education. AOTA approval satisfies CE requirements as a Class I activity in Kansas. Each AOTA approved hour can be applied for 1.25 professional development units (PDU) for National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) renewal.
MedBridge is an approved provider of continuing education for occupational therapists by the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy. AOTA approved courses are registered with the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy in CE Broker.
Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology (SLP)
MedBridge is an approved provider for American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) CEUs. ASHA CEUs are accepted by all states within the U.S. Courses with potential SLP applicability are reviewed. Approved courses will be registered with ASHA.
Athletic Trainer (AT)
MedBridge Education is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc.(BOC) to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers. BOC approval is accepted by all states in the U.S.
Category A courses are also registered with the Florida Board of Athletic Trainers in CE Broker.
Strength & Conditioning Specialist (SCS)
MedBridge Strength & Conditioning Specialist courses that meet National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) requirements are applied for category C approval.
Nursing
MedBridge Education is recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to offer continuing education for Nurses. ANCC approved nursing courses that are at least 1 hour in length and have 10 learning assessment questions are registered with the Florida Board of Nursing through CE Broker.
Long Term Care Administrator (LTC)
MedBridge Long Term Care Administrator applicable courses are applied to the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS - NAB). NCERS approval is accepted in most states, please verify with your state board.
Respiratory Therapy (RT)
MedBridge Respiratory Therapy applicable courses are applied to the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC-CRCE).
Case Manager
MedBridge Case Manager Applicable courses are applied to the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC).
