In this article, you will find state licensure requirements for the state of Alabama along with our recommended courses that may meet the state requirements.
PT CEU Requirements:
Current PT’s must complete 10 hours of continuing education including (2) hours of Alabama Jurisprudence every year. License expires September 30 every year.

- State Licensing Board: Alabama Board of Physical Therapy
OT CEU Requirements:
Current OT’s must complete 30 contact hours every two years and OTA's must complete 20 hours every two years. License cycle is every two years.
- State Licensing Board: Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy
SLP CEU Requirements:
Current SLP’s must complete 12 hours annually. All CE hours (CEH) can be obtained from Content Area I (Professional category). Only 2 CEH will be allowed from Content Area II (Related category). License cycle occurs annually.
- State Licensing Board: Alabama Board for Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
RN CEU Requirements:
Current RN’s will need 24 hours every two years. License cycle ends December 31 of odd years.
